We engineer and even manufacture a custom solution, including microcontrollers (i.e. Microchip/Atmel AVR, EPS32, Raspberry Pi Pico, ATMega328, etc), communications/peripherals (USB, I2C, SPI, GPIO, etc), RF (i.e. Wifi, Bluetooth, Amateur Radio, LoRaWAN, nRF24L01+, etc) as well as AC (MEMS Sensors/Microphones, Op Amps, etc) & DC (i.e. Optocoupler, Solar, Battery, etc) circuits, and packaging (i.e. 3D printing, mounting, cases, etc).

As an example, our 3D Sound-Interactive Christmas Tree Holiday Decoration integrally combines a 57dBA SNR MEMS Microphone, an LM358 Op Amp, a 3v3 Voltage Regulator, a Fuse, and a Microchip(R) ATtiny1614 running at 20 MHz with 16kB entirely Custom-Written Firmware including Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) 128 sound samples up to 20kHz, Charlie-Plexing all 56 LEDs @ 2.6ms refresh, Capacitive Touch Sensor polled at 62.5ms, EEPROM for mode/state storage, sleep-mode, debugging/programming, and multiple timers with interrupts for timing. The end result is a stand-alone device with incredible power, features, and functionality built as firmware into the hardware!
Another example is an electrically-isolated opto-coupled Push-To-Talk (PTT) line interface board to allow the use of new digital modes (i.e. FT8, JT65, & FT4), as well as long-time modes (i.e. PSK31, RTTY, SSTV), with software such as WSJT-X on HF radio frequencies. Our design allows the PTT line to be triggered in 2 micro-seconds, with 5000V isolation. Without a hardware solution such as this, there would be no way for the computer to control the radio using only software.
